  1. Steps for installing the Improv for Windows 2.1 Update:

  3. BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
  4.  
  5. The Improv for Windows 2.1 Update installation requires the original Improv
  6. for Windows 2.0 diskettes.
  7.  
  8. If a customer has a lost or damaged set of Improv 2.0 diskettes, a set of
  9. replacement disks must be obtained from Lotus Customer Service at 1-800-343-
  10. 5414.  Only registered Improv 2.0 customers will be provided with a set of
  11. replacement disks.

  14. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

  16. The steps for installing the Improv for Windows 2.1 Update are as follows:
  17.  
  18. 1.  Insert the disk labeled Update Disk A in drive A (or B).
  19. 2.  Select File Run from the Windows Program Manager.
  20. 3.  In the Command Line, type A:INSTALL (or B:INSTALL) and select OK.
  21. 4.  At the "Welcome to Install" screen, select OK.
  22. 5.  At the Main Menu, select the appropriate type of installation.  The
  23. options are "Install Improv" or "Install Improv on a Server."
  24. 6.  Select the appropriate drive and directory for installing Improv, and
  25. select OK.
  26. 7.  When the files from the Update Disk A have been transferred, the Install
  27. program will prompt for Update Disk B. Insert Update Disk B, and select OK.
  28. 8.  When the files from Update Disk B have been transferred, the Install
  29. program will prompt for the Improv for Windows 2.0 disk labeled Disk 1.
  30. Insert Disk 1 in the drive, and select OK.
  31. 9.  Continue to insert the appropriate disks as prompted.  Once the all the
  32. files are transferred from Disk 4, the installation of the Improv for Windows
  33. 2.1 Update is complete.
